We had nothing really planned. Gloria was playing with her cousins so I joined them in the yard. We played follow the leader. The older kids got to take turns being the leader. It's funny watching the difference in ages. Eden, who is six, would say things like, "now crawl like an alligator. Now hop like a bunny." And Gloria, she's almost four, would say things like, "now let's climb the tree." There was a bit of rolling on the ground and funny dancing, but isn't that the point in follow the leader?

I also taught them "what time is it Mr. Wolf?" Kay, super cute hearing Gloria yell, "what time is it Mr. Fox?" She mostly got the idea. She was the wolf a few times. She was a big fan of lunch time. In fact lunch time came rather quickly when she was the wolf. But she thinks the running part is the best anyway. And when you're the wolf you run after people with your mouth open. And when you catch them you bite their jacket. What's not to love about that? That game lasted until she was distracted by a lady bug. "It's five o'clock!" "One, two... oh look, a lady bug."

After that game we played Simon says. Yep, it's still fun. The kids had different levels of understanding. Gloria's turn ended up being, "Simon says let's climb the tree." Okay. But then she made her daddy play too. That kid is bossy, but dads will do just about anything for their kids. I like seeing Gloria play with her daddy.

I also took Colin for a walk in his back pack. He loves that back pack and it makes it way easier to take him with me. And the bonus for me is that a walk is a much better work out with a 20 pound weight on your back. Anyway, we went for a walk, Colin fell asleep.
I like the days where nothing is planned and we have fun doing not much. The days where we don't have to be anywhere on time. The days where we have fun playing. Those are good days.
